Join me, Kristen Boccumini, with The Engage Network and Off the Mat Into the World to raise over $20,000 by this November to build schools, organic sustainable farms, and natural birthing centers in Uganda, Africa. See how the funds will be distributed.

I plan to travel to Uganda for two weeks in February 2010 to represent and be the change for all of us.

Of course the larger the donation the more lives saved.

Right now, children in Uganda are living in impoverished conditions and in fear of rebels of the Lord's Resistance Army, of what has now been a twenty year civil war with the government. They live in conditions unimaginable to us always living in fear. Rebels come in the night and steal the children away, forcing boys to join and kill even their own family members while the girls are forced into sex slavery.

Luckily we have the privilege of abundant food, education and, most important, safety, but the children in Uganda do not. Dedicate at least some of what you have to these children, who so desperately need the care you can give. One in six African children die before reaching 5 years of age. You can make a difference!
